Tuli, July 10: In a very skilful system of local trapping, a youth group of Longpong ward in Tuli town trapped a leopard on Friday night as the leopard got inside the trap to eat the prey kept there.
The leopard had reportedly killed a number of domestic animals in and around that area for the last few days that alarmed and disturbed the local residents.
The local ward authority has decided to give the leopard to the Wildlife Department of Nagaland.
The Longpong ward committee congratulated the youths for trapping the dangerous wild animal without any harm.
