Training to skill Tuensang youth underway

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 11: A multi-skilled handyman training programme, sponsored by the Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, was inaugurated on Monday at Town Hall Tuensang.

The programme’s training partner is Zynorique Initiatives Society (ZIC), the DIPR reported.
Ajit Kumar Verma, the ADC of Tuensang, was the special guest of the programme.
He said that Tuensang district is one of the most remote districts in the state, with poor connectivity, lacking in employment opportunities; so, such skill development programmes are very crucial for the unemployed youth.
Richard Belho of ZIC advised the trainees not to wait for the government jobs only but to equip themselves with skills.
‘It is our birth right to build our nation but since Nagas have lost the work culture, we fail in contributing in building our state,’ he said.
Regarding the training, Belho said that it is a unique programme to impart skills so that one person can play multi-tasking role. (Page News Service)
