Training on NSS held at Kohima


Dimapur, August 29: The State level training for 76th round of National Sample Survey was conducted at the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Kohima on August 28&29. District Economics & Statistics Officers along with host of technical staff from the districts attended the training.
Exhorting the trainees, Y. Sacheo Ovung, Director, urged the trainees to be sincere and diligent while canvassing the schedules. Emphasizing on the need for reliable statistics of the State he articulated that database obtained through the NSS serves as a major source of socio-economic information for formulating comprehensive planning in the State.
The NSS 76th Round Survey period is for six months starting from July 1 to December 31, and covers two important subjects namely “Drinking Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, Housing conditions” and “Survey of Person with Disabilities”.
