Training on BRIDGE held

Dimapur, March 30: Boosting Routine Immunization Demand Generation (BRIDGE) training programme on routine immunization for frontline workers, ANM, ASHAs and AWWs were conducted in all blocks of Kohima District, viz Kohima Sadar, Sechu block, Jakhama block, Chiephobozou block & Tseminyu block from March 13 to 28.
The resource persons were DPO (RCH-UIP) Kohima, Dr. Rupert Peseyie, Dr. Rüyangulie Paphino MO (MMU) and media officer.
The training aimed at addressing vaccine hesitancy and to raise demand for immunization as frontline workers remain at the core community on healthy behaviors.
During the training, topics on AEFI, basics of immunization, interpersonal communication, planning and monitoring of routine immunization were deliberated. The trainees also participated in presentation-based games, group discussion, role-playing activity and audio-visual interactive sessions.
A total of 84 ANMs, 59 ASHAs and 300 AWWs from all the blocks attended the training.
