Dimapur, March 9: A training on “Modern techniques in Aquaculture” organized by ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Kolkata Centre in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries, Government of Nagaland got underway at Training Centre Brooders Fish Farm, Half Nagarjan, Dimapur on March 8.
On the first day of the training, technical employees of the Department of Fisheries and progressive farmers of Dimapur district were trained on fish production with polyculture and integrated fish farming. Practical demonstrations of water testing by using portable testing kits developed by the Centre were also given during the programme.
Principal Scientist, S. Dasgupta and Scientist, Sujata Sahoo from ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata Centre were the resource persons for the training. Field visit and staff interaction will also be held.
