Training of poll personnel


Dimapur, May 24: Deputy Commissioner & ARO Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS has informed that the polling personal under Dimapur District detailed for election duty for the forthcoming Bye-election to the 1- Nagaland Parliamentary constituency, 2018, that the Final phase of training will be held on May 25 at Dimapur Government College, Dimapur.
The training will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Presiding & 1st polling officer and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for all the polling officers (Presiding Officers, 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Polling Officers) and Grade IV staff. Appointment order and ID Card will be issued. All have been requested to bring 2 passport photos. Failure to attend the training shall be viewed seriously and strict action shall be initiated against the absentees as pet the Representation of the Peoples’ Act, 1950 & Conduct of Election Rules, 1961.
Peren: DC and ARO Peren, Smita Saranga, IAS has informed all Govt. Officers/Officials that the final phase training in view of upcoming Lok Sabha by-election 2018 for polling personnel will be held on May 24 and 25 from 10 a.m onwards as follows:
Presiding officer and 1st polling officer at Town Hall Peren, 2nd polling officer at PTWWO Hall Peren (near SBI ATM booth) and 3rd & 4th polling officer at GHSS Peren on May 25.
DC also informed that grade IV staff, who have been drafted for poll duty, are asked to report to their respective presiding officer on or before May 25.
The DC informed all the polling officials to submit two copies of passport photos for identity card purpose.
Mokokchung: Deputy Commissioner & Assistant Returning Officer, Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal has informed the Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and other Counting Officials including Grade IV staff, appointed for the purpose of counting of votes of By-Election to the Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency, to attend training at 12 Noon on May 29 at the conference hall of ADC (Planning) Mokokchung and at Town Hall, Mokokchung on May 31.
Facilitation Centre:
Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS has informed all Govt. Officials drafted for election duty that facilitation centre for doubt clearing on poll process and EVM/VVPATs will be open on May 25 and 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pensioners’ Office new Building, DC Office complex, Kohima. He informed all concerned to avail the facility.
