TPO welcomes pol parties decision to come together

Dimapur, August 17: A meeting of the Executive Council, Tenyimi Peoples’ Organization (TPO) was held on August 14.
The TPO welcomed the decision of the political parties in Nagaland to come together to jointly facilitate the Indo-Naga peace dialogue and work to expedite the long anticipated Naga Solution.
It also urged upon the political leaders and elected representatives of the people to work sincerely putting foremost the future good of the Naga people above individual gains and party politics.
The House agreed that the TPO stands to protect the history and identity of our people and therefore it shall stand firmly with the Naga National Flag which symbolizes the Identity and proud history of the Naga people.
According to a press release issued by TOP president, Timikha Koza and general secretary, Vipopal Kintso, the TPO expressed anguish at the plight and suffering of Naga brothers and sisters in Eastern Nagaland (Myanmar) who are living in fear and have to leave their homes faced with military repression.
It also empathized and stood in solidarity with them and urged upon all Naga individuals, organizations, and government of the day to bestow magnanimity to mitigate their situation.
