Shops to remain closed from 12 noon till midnight
Dimapur, May 21: In view of the scheduled arrival of Special Shramik Train at Dimapur carrying stranded persons from Chennai Central on May 22 tentatively at 1 pm, Dimapur police has notified that all vehicular traffic will be totally prohibited within Dimapur town from 12 Noon till 5 pm.
“In view of the scheduled arrival of Special Shramik Train at Dimapur carrying stranded persons from Chennai Central on 22.05.2020 tentatively at 1300 Hrs, all vehicular traffic will be totally prohibited within Dimapur town, which will be enforced one hour prior to the expected arrival and four hours post arrival of the special train,” said a press note issued by Commissioner of Police, Rothihu Tetseio, IPS.
Police said the vehicular traffic restriction will also apply to the exempted categories earlier notified.
DC Dimapur has ordered all retail shops/markets to remain closed from 12 noon till midnight on May 22 in Dimapur town as a preventive measure is being enforced in view of the special Shramik Train arriving from Chennai Central at Dimapur Railway Station on May 22.
Meanwhile, Additional Chief Secretary and Finance Commissioner, Sentiyanger Imchen has directed all Deputy Commissioners for screening, triage test and quarantining of returnees by special train.
In letters to all Deputy Commissioners, the ACS & Finance Commissioner stated that returnees arriving from Chennai at Dimapur Railway Station would be stationed at Kohima and Dimapur Quarantine Centres respectively for few days for observation and screening.
The returnees would be sent to their respective districts after ascertaining the schedule arrival of the next special train.
