Kohima, May 25: The Mon district administration has decided to impose total lockdown of Tizit sub-division and Mon on May 26 & 27.
Deputy Commissioner, Thavaseelan K in a notice said during the lockdown, movement of people will be strictly prohibited, except on medical emergencies, shops except pharmacies will remained closed and movement of private vehicles will be strictly prohibited.
He said the total lockdown is enforced with a view to facilitate transportation of people to different quarantine centres of the district.
DC Mokokchung notifies
In another order from the DC Mokokchung Limawabang Jamir said no individual, organizations, ward, colony and village is allowed to issue unwarranted directives and statements obstructing entry of person returning to their respective wards, colonies and villages after completion of the stipulated quarantine period. He said such unwarranted actions are infringements on individual rights as well as violation of Government orders.
Jamir said strict legal action will be initiated against any individual, organisation, ward, colony and village obstructing the entry of person into the ward, colony and village under relevant section of the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 and the Disaster management Act, 2005. (Page News Service)
