Tongpang inspects State guest house construction at Delhi

Dimapur, August 26: Minister PWD (housing & mechanical) Tongpang Ozukum along with PWD (housing & mechanical) Department officers inspected the ongoing construction of Nagaland Guest house at Dwarka, New Delhi on August 24.
During the inspection, the team interacted with M/s Ansari & co. constructing the Dwarka phase-1 type I, II, IV and V and they agreed to complete type I & II buildings by September 2019.
Also M/s Gupta Bros (india), who is overlooking the construction of Dwarka phase-ll, type – III agreed to complete 8 items (electrical sub- station, main LT panel, external fire fighting , external electrical cabling, external lighting, sewage disposal, storm water drain and campus development) within 105 days after the undertaking. Completion of the eight items have been necessitated in order to get the permission from Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for partial occupation of type I & II buildings right after completion, said a press release issued by Imliyanger Aier, press secretary to minister, PWD (H&M).
The Department had earlier received a letter on 8th May 2019 from Delhi Jal Board for payment of infrastructure charges for water and sewage connection amounting to Rs. 1,69,03,668 to be paid on or before September 8, 2019. The PWD (housing & mechanical) for want of fund could not make the payment till date and failure to clear the fee on time will jeopardize the target for occupying Type I & II building of Nagaland Guest house Dwarka, New Delhi.
However, keeping in mind about the importance of completing the ongoing project, which will not only assist Nagas who visits the capital for medical care and admissions but also generate revenue for the state, the department is planning to take over partially type I, II &IIA for staff quarters and rental building at Dwarka within this financial year, provided the Delhi Development Authority agree to the department’s proposal.
