Three Universities offer seats to Nagaland students at concessional rates

Dimapur, June 20: At the initiative of Governor of Nagaland, P B Acharya and Indian National Fellowship Council (INFC), an NGO from Mumbai, three universities have announced seats in various courses for Naga students for the academic year 2019-2020 at concessional rate.
The universities are NITTE Medical University, Mangalore; Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapura Taluk and Alva Education Foundation, Moodbidri, Mangalore, Karnataka.
In a letter to all the Deputy Commissioners, Joint Secretary to Governor stated that district administration should take appropriate action to circulate among the colleges located in respective districts so that students may avail the facility of studying in the institutes at concessional rates.
The Governor also desires that the name of students of those who are interested to go for the courses mentioned be submitted to Governor’s Secretariat before June 30 along with copies of documents/certificate for further necessary action.
Alva’s Education Foundation is offering a total of 100 seats for students from Nagaland at concessional rate for various courses. Fifteen seats are being offered in General Nursing while 5 seats each are being offered in Naturopathy (BNYA), Mechanical Engineering, MBA, BSW, MSW, BA (HPS), BA (HPE), MA in English, MA in Economics, M Com HRD, MSc in Biotechnology, BVA (Visual Art), MSc in Zoology, MSc Mathematic, Information Science in Engineering, Electronics & Communication in Engineering and Civil Engineering.
Nitte Medical University has offered 24 courses where the University would exempt college fees in full for the courses. Students would have to bear the hostel and mess fees.
The University is offering 3 MSc Nursing, 3 GNM, 2 Master of Public Health, 2 B.Sc Nursing, 2 M Pharm, 2 BSc (Bio Medical Science), 2 MA (Mass Communication & Journalism), 2 BA (Mass Communication & Journalism), 2 M Sc (Anaesthesia & Operation Threatre Technology) and 2 M Sc (MLT-Hematology & Blood Transfusion), 1 M Sc (Bio Medical Science and one M Sc (Food Safety & Biotechnology) seats each.
Moodlakatte Institute of Technology (MIT) is also offering free education for 7 students from Nagaland in Mechanical Engineering (1 seat), Computer Science & Engineering (1 seat), Civil Engineering (1 seat), Electrical & Electronic Engineering (1 seat), Electronics & Communication Engineering (1 seat) and Master of Business Administration (2 seats).
