DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 23: The third edition of Bhandari inter-departmental sports meet, in support of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, started on February 23 at local ground, Bhandari, with Additional Deputy Commissioner Tiameren Chang as special guest.
The ADC said that it was encouraging to observe enthusiastic sporting spirit among the government employees, and cooperation from the public. He called upon the players to exhibit and promote discipline, friendship and team spirit through their participation and to encourage one another to bring out their best.
Bhandari Eloe Hoho presented the BBBP theme song. The inaugural programme was followed by a football exhibition match between MLA XI and ADC XI where the MLA XI team won 2:1. Around twenty one departments under Bhandari sub-division have been divided into eight teams for the inter-departmental event.
