Thanksgiving programme held at Aghunato


Dimapur, March 29: Celebrating the success in the 13 NLA election, a ‘Thanks Giving’ programme was held in Aghunato town on March 28 at the residence of Hoito I. Achumi, president NDPP 34 A/C. The programme was graced by Pastor Hetoshe (James) Catholic Church Aghunato.
Greeting the people during the programme, the MLA & Advisor, Food and Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology & consumer Protection and NSDMA, Pukhayi Sumi thanked God for the blessing and subsequent victory. He also thanked the people on his behalf and on behalf of his family members for the sacrifice and co-operation extended by the people of Aghunato offering him opportunity to serve the people again.
Speaking on his vision of development, Pukhayi Sumi said that Aghunato area surrounded by Tizu and Tsutha river is compact area with clear geographical boundaries. He said that it also possess major significant history that can further development to greater extent.
He said this while referring to first Indo-Naga conflict that occurred at Hoshepu village under Aghunato Sub-Division. He informed the gathering about Aghunato area general meeting which is going to be organised shortly in a more grand way to deliberate developmental issues.
All the villages under Aghunato Sub-Division would availh Government assistance, he asserted.
NDPP Convenor 34 A/C, Hokugha Yeptho in his short speech appreciated the NDPP members serving in various capacity for their outstanding performance, maintaining humble team spirit , and tying up with the public that contributed to the success in the last election held.
Delivering vote of thanks, President NDPP Hoito Achumi expressed gratitude and thanks to MLA Pukhayi for retrieving Banking treasury back to Aghunato.
He also reminded in regard to full fledged ADC headquarter.
