Dimapur, June 13: Tetso College celebrated its first Virtual HSSLC Graduation Ceremony on June 13. Around 70 students, staff, family and well wishers attended to witness the passing out ceremony of 50 HSSLC graduates from the Arts and Commerce stream. The special guest and commencement speaker was Chumben Ngullie, Deputy Commandant, Central Industrial Security Force.
In the director’s address, Kvulo Lorin congratulated the HSSLC Class of 2020 for their success. He sympathized with the students for not being able to conduct the graduation on-campus and in-person with everyone yet applauded the students for adapting so quickly to the new world order. Encouraging the graduating students to view the pandemic with a positive outlook, he reminded that new opportunities will come knocking as they begin a new chapter in their lives. “Your graduation from Tetso College is your ticket to be part of that change,” he added.
Commencement speaker, Chumben Ngullie stressed on the future careers of the students and asserted that their goals should be carried out with clear focus and discipline to achieve wholesome development. While presenting a brief history about his own aspirations, he stated that passion, commitment and hard work are the important key factors for anyone to become successful in their endeavours. He also alluded that students must accept challenges with undaunting spirit to overcome them.
Valedictorian Iziedile Ngia spoke on behalf of the graduating class and thanked all the stakeholders involved in shaping their lives, especially the teachers for pushing them and encouraging them never to give up.
In the closing remarks, Kahor Raleng, Assistant Dean, Tetso College expressed gratitude towards the participants for the success of the event and gave a bird’s eye view of the achievements of the students and the laurels that they had brought to the Institution. (Page News Service)
