DIMAPUR, JANUARY 21: The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tening, Rhosietho Nguori has warned against damaging roads in Tening town and obstructing the drains, while constructing connecting road to respective residences.
Obstruction of the drainage system is a major cause of road damage, landslide and other related destructions, especially during the monsoons. The drainage system should not be an obstruction at any cost in order to ensure that rainwater and other waste waters are allowed to flow out freely, the order stated, while directing all to comply in the general interest of public hygiene and safety and in order to prevent the damage of existing roads and other public/ private property within Tening Town area.
No individual/group should carry out any developmental activities within Tening town that leads to damage of the road and obstruction of the drainage system. Stern punitive action will be initiated against any individual/or group acting in contravention to the order. (Page News Service)
