Temjen Toy calls for development of Kiphire dist


Dimapur, July 25: A state level committee meeting for Kiphire Aspirational District was held yesterday in the Planning & Co-ordination Department, Civil Secretariat, Kohima.
The meeting was chaired by Nagaland Chief Secretary, Temjen Toy IAS. He lamented that the progress was not so encouraging even as Kiphire remains at the bottom of the list among the 115 Aspirational Districts of the whole country. Temjen therefore called upon the departments to have good co-ordination for development of the district.
He asked the Head of Departments and officers especially in Kiphire district to tie up with one another and urged them to work as a mission and not as a duty, he asked them to keep updating the records and the indicator.
Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary expressed his appreciation to the people of Kiphire district for working hard towards development of their district despite their differences.
The Joint Secretary as well as Prabhan Officer from Ministry of HRD, Government of India, Sanjay Kumar gave a power point presentation. The Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire district and Heads of Departments of the district also attended the meeting. (Page News Service)
