Dimapur, February 15: Minister for Higher & Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along released a book “Wake” authored by Theyiesinuo Keditsu at Kohima College on February 15.
The minister expressed his happiness for being invited him to be part of the programme as the special guest. He said the author is an outstanding and admirable lady with so much uniqueness in her popular Instagram which tells us about our culture and tradition.
He described her as God fearing lady and a great poet, who can really put not only of her thoughts into words but also the emotions and feelings into poetry because of her eloquency and knowledge. He congratulated her for a wonderful job she did and welcomed her to the world of poetry.
Publisher, Penthrill Publication House, Vishii Rita Krocha who gave the introduction and publisher’s note mentioned that Keditsu is a poet, writer and educator. She is also the co-founder of centre for Indigenous Knowledge & Alternative Learning and advocates the revival of indigenous Naga textiles and women’s alternatives through her popular Instagram avatar@mekhalamama.
The publisher mentioned that the book “Wake” is her second book of poems which taught us about life and living. She also added that the college is fortunate to have vibrant and learned teaching faculty in the field of literature.

Dr. Konei Nakhro chaired the programme while Pastor, City Church, Kedo Peseyie invoked God’s blessing. A special number was presented by Kohima College students. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Avinuo Kire.
Advisor, IT&C, S&T & NEW & RENEWABLE ENERGY, Mmhonlumo Kikon, faculty members of Kohima College and well wishers attended the programme.
