Dimapur, April 27: In view of the detection of 4 COVID-19 positive cases from Dimapur Govt. College, a meeting was held by the Minister for Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Inma Along with the Principal, Vice Principal and faculty members of the college at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur.
During the interaction, the Minister was appraised of the events and actions taken with the detection of the COVID-19 cases. The Minister stressed on starting contact tracing and advised both the students and teachers to act responsibly.
In order to ensure that all the hostellers are COVID-free, the Minister also assured that he would contribute RAT testing kits for the boys and girls hostellers living in the college-run hostels in the campus.
As of now, the results of the 5 primary contacts are awaited after which the decision on whether to seal the entire college will be taken.
Meanwhile preparations are underway for online classes to begin from April 28.
