Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, JULY 3: The Lotha Youth Hoho (LYH) and Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) have decided to completely shut down the network towers and offices of all the telecom/network service providers within Wokha district for two days on July 4 and 5, after which any appropriate measure would be initiated in the absence of any positive response from the telecom/network service providers.
This decision was taken in a joint meeting on June 29 due to indolence on the part of the companies to uphold their commitments made on August 4, 2020 and October 19, 2020 where they have assured to provide good services to service consumers but unfortunately their services remains standpat till date, a release issued by Joint Media Cell stated.
The release stated that in order to appropriately respond to the telecom companies, the LYH and LSU initiated a public poll through social media where, the common response from the service consumers urged upon the two offices to completely shut down the towers and offices of the telecom/network service providers.
The LYH and LSU sought the cooperation and called upon all the consumers and asked them to bear the inconveniences of the shutdown. The LYH and LSU further asserted to commit and work for the common good of all for posterity. (Page News Service)
