Guwahati, October 14: Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev on Friday maintained that her PIL before the Supreme Court, seeking issuance of Aadhaar cards to NRC applicants in Assam whose names have figured in the final draft of the citizenship document, is a case for the fundamental right of life. Assam eviction: Cong leader files PIL in HC seeking formulation of rehabilitation policy

Guwahati, October 6: Leader of the Opposition in Assam assembly, Debabrata Saikia, has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Gauhati High Court seeking, among others, formulation of a rehabilitation policy for evicting people from government land by the administration.
