23 MLAs sign resolution to protect territorial integrity of Manipur

Imphal, September 12: Twenty three MLAs in the ruling BJP-led government in Manipur have signed a resolution, pledging to protect the territorial integrity of the strife-torn state. The MLAs also resolved that they would soon proceed to Delhi to persuade the central leadership to bring a solution to the present crisis at the earliest. Guwahati, September 11: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said that all MLAs, irrespective of party lines, must come together to prevent religious fundamentalism from gaining ground in the state. 3 Meghalaya MLAs submit resignation to Speaker

Shillong, November 28: Two MLAs of the ruling NPP in Meghalaya and one of the opposition TMC resigned from the Assembly on Monday, dealing a blow to the two parties. NPP legislators -- Ferlin Sangma, Benedic Marak and TMC's HM Shangpliang submitted their resignations to Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh during the day, Assembly commissioner and secretary Andrew Simons told PTI.
