Shillong, November 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that he will look into the demand for separate IAS and IPS cadres for Meghalaya and Assam, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said on Tuesday. 9 non-BJP ruled states oppose Centre’s proposal on IAS officers’ central deputation

Delhi, January 26: As many as nine non-BJP ruled states have opposed the Centre's proposal that gives it an overriding power while deciding on central deputation of IAS officers, whereas eight others have given their consent, officials said on Wednesday.
