Friday date for SC hearing against EC search panel

NEW DELHI, MARCH 14: The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to hear on Friday a batch of petitions filed challenging the Chief Election Commissioner Act, 2023, which had dropped the Chief Justice of India (CJI) from the selection committee to pick the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and Election Commissioners (ECs). IMPHAL, OCTOBER 28: The Manipur Government has termed the notice issued by Churachandpur-based Joint Student's Body calling for declaration of every Friday as a holiday for all Government offices and educational institutions in the southern district as "totally illegal".
