Despite flash flood no dilution in operational preparedness in Sikkim: Army commander

Guwahati, October 10: The operational preparedness of the Indian Army along the international border in Sikkim remains "undiluted" despite the loss of human lives and infrastructure in the recent flash flood in the Himalayan state, Eastern Command chief Lt General Rana Pratap Kalita said here on Tuesday. Army, Tezpur Univ sign MoU on Chinese language training

Guwahati, April 19: The Indian Army and Tezpur University on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for training army personnel in Chinese language. The course will be for 16 weeks and will be conducted at Tezpur University, according to a defence release.
