Army, Tezpur Univ sign MoU on Chinese language training

Guwahati, April 19: The Indian Army and Tezpur University on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for training army personnel in Chinese language. The course will be for 16 weeks and will be conducted at Tezpur University, according to a defence release. Encounter between Army, militants in Assam

Guwahati/Tinsukia, November 14: An encounter broke out on Monday between a team of army personnel and unidentified militants in a forest in Assam's Tinsukia district, a defence spokesperson said. Manipur landslide: Army says 5 civilians, 13 soldiers rescued

New Delhi, June 30: The Army on Thursday said 13 soldiers of the Territorial Army and five civilians have so far been rescued from the landslide-hit railway construction site in Manipur's Noney district.
