Dimapur, January 5: The Songlhuh Youths and Students Union (SYSU) in collaboration with Jalukie BN, Assam Rifles undertook an initiative to educate the locals about wild life conservation.
Message was conveyed in simple and layman language to the villagers and SYSU members helped in translation it for the officer representative of Assam Rifles. All age groups villagers attended the lecture and showed keen interest to extend their contribution for the preservation of wild lives, said a release issued by SYSU.
On the occasion, elders and village authorities pledged to control hunting habits of locals in their village.
