Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy: Nagaland beat Mizoram by 39 runs

Dimapur, November 6: Nagaland beat Mizoram by 39 runs in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy at ACA Stadiu, Vijayawada today.
Mizoram after having won the toss invited Nagaland to bat first. Nagaland had a terrible start as Captain Jonathan Rongsen was sent back to the pavilion on the very first delivery of the innings by HM Ralte. Joshua and Mundhe maintained their composure and were on the right track for great partnership, however, their partnership was subdued on 34 runs as the former was ran out by Dika Ralte.
Later, Chetan Bist (26 runs) joined Mundhe and they together stitched a much need partnership of 63 runs.
Mundhe went on to score 76 runs. Hem’s quick knock of 25 runs off 14 balls took Nagaland to a defend-able total of 156 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Chasing the target, Mizoram were short of 39 runs at the end of the final overs losing 5 wickets.
For Nagaland, Nagaho, Mundhe, Khrievitso Kense and Imliwati claimed a wicket each.
