SVEEP campaign held at Phek

Dimapur, December 6: Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Awareness Campaign was held Phek HQ on December 5 where half-marathon race was held from Phek clock tower begin to Phek local ground with the theme “Awareness on Clean Electoral Roll and Clean election’.
Phek Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS flagged-off the race. Speaking at the Phek Local ground he spoke on the importance of electoral roll where every citizens should enroll on attaining the age of 18 years. He stressed on summary revision and called upon the people to availed the opportunity.
Additional Deputy Commissioner & ERO Tsuktimar Jamir in his short speech spoke on voter education which we need to impart to one and all.
The winner of the half Marathon race are as follows:- In men senior category 1st position went to Putuve Lea, 2nd -Shekhotso Khamo and 3rd-Vechipo Rhakho. In mens junior category 1st – Hupa Puro, 2nd Tseivo Tetseo and 3rd – Luvezo Rhakho. In womens category 1st – Vesutolu, 2nd -Pane Movi and 3rd- Mulutolu Venuh. Oldest participant was Vesupra Vero 46 years and youngest was Saba 8 years old. The programme was chaired by Wetsho Lasushe, EAC Phek HQ. (Page News Service)
