SVC begins probe into irregularities in LMCP

Dimapur, October 14: The People for Democratic Rights (PDR) has demanded the Government to relieve the current HoD of Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection Department of all responsibilities since the Nagaland State Vigilance Commission has already started investigating into the irregularities in the department.
In a press release, the PDR said the HoD LMCP should be given leave for a fair probe by the Vigilance.
The PDR also alleged that a certain officer in the LMCP Department “has been meeting influential persons and those in power for reasons clearly understood.” It cautioned the officer to stop any sort of lobby lest he and those whom he is meeting are exposed.
