Dimapur, May 10: Kohima Police intercepted one white Gypsy (UR) and recovered 49 packets of suspected Heroin weighing approx 615 grams on May 4 last while conducting frisking and checking at Peducha.
Two persons identified as Tarsus (33 yrs), S/o-Lt. Ngaopuni, and Mateso Dearson (26 yrs), S/o-Magisa, both residents of Lai village, under Tadubi, Senapati, were arrested.
In this connection, Sechu (Zubza) PS Case No. 001/2022 U/S 34 IPC R/w 21 (C) NDPS Act has been registered for investigation.
Meanwhile, on April 25 last, Kohima Police manning the Khuzama Check Gate intercepted a Scorpio vehicle B/R No. NL07C-4634 and recovered 30 soap cases of suspected Heroin weighing approx 360 gm from the possession of one Daili (36 yrs), S/o-Daikh, V/o-Kaibi, Po/Ps-Tadubi, Senapati. In this connection, Khuzama PS Case No. 002/2022 U/S 22 (C) NDPS Act has been registered for further investigation.
Based on information regarding one Fortuner SUV B/R No. NL01P 4400 with suspected duplicate registration being spotted at various locations, Kohima Police put all police stations on alert, and on 01/05/2022, the suspected vehicle was stopped and seized by the Chumukedima Police. In this connection, Kohima North PS case no. 025/2022 U/S 411/471/472 IPC has been registered for further investigation.
1 arrested for robbery
Based on inputs about unknown miscreants committing a robbery at N1I-29, personnel of Kohima Police and Mobile Unit swung into action and apprehended one person namely Ahoshe Chophy (45 yrs), S/o-Zhevikhu, V/o-Shena Old, PS- Satakha, Zunheboto, below Para Medical colony. Various incriminating documents of NSCN/GPRN (R), one bike B/R No. NL07E-9741 along with other items were recovered and seized from his possession. In this connection, Kohima North PS Case No. 0027/2022 U/S 392/34 IPC has been registered for further investigation.
