Sumi Hoho appeals

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, JUNE 21: Following the claim by Advisor for School Education, K T Sukhalu that some cadres of armed Naga groups in Zunheboto District had demanded share of COVID-19 funds, the Sumi Hoho on Monday said that “some miscreants might have made rampant demands by impersonating various factions”.

A press release from the organisation stated that the Sumi Hoho (SH) and the Sumi Kukami Hoho (SKH) had “made enquiries from all possible sources to ascertain the facts regarding allegations”.
“On enquiry, no concrete instance of demand on COVID fund was established from any groups. It is thus concluded that some miscreants might have made rampant demands by impersonating various factions. In this respect, the Sumi Hoho and its frontal organisations appeal to all concerned to restrain from making further statements and allegations in connection with the said news item. Further, should the need for any clarifications arise, the undersigned may be intimated”, it stated.
The press release was signed by SH President Hekhushe Shikhu, General Secretary Nikheto Jimo, Vice President Vihoshe Muru, Finance Secretary Hokishe Kiba, and SKH President Kashito Yepthomi.
