Sukhalu reviews Covid situation in Zunheboto

K.T. Sukhalu vists District Covid Hospital Zunheboto

Dimapur, June 17: Advisor, School Education, KT Sukhalu visited District Covid Hospital, Zunheboto accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo on June 17 to get himself acquainted with the progress on Covid situation.


Sukhalu said during the hour of the pandemic, it is not only the responsibility of doctors and frontline workers, but also the duty of every citizen to follow guidelines issued by Government. He also called on the citizens to cooperate with the medical department and get vaccinated.
He provided financial aid and PPE equipment to the Covid hospital.
Sukhalu also had an interaction on the ongoing two-lane construction at Zunheboto with NHIDCL, Madhucon Company, Sumi Hoho, Zunheboto two lane construction monitoring committee and Sumi officers’ union, Zunheboto, at DC’s residence, Zunheboto.
General secretary, Sumi Hoho, Nikheto Jimomi said the monitoring committee has been cooperating with the district administration, and added that they are trying to expand the road where there are provisions.
ADC Zunheboto, Moa Longkumer said there are 57 compensated areas where there are no problems and had been marked but most of the areas are left uncompensated and as such NGOs have been convincing those area owners.
District statistical officer and president, Sumi Officers’ Union Zunheboto, Lhokiye Yepthomi said with the cooperation from all ends, the vision of seeing a developed Zunheboto could be achieved.


Sukhalu lamented over the road connectivity in the district and said the two-lane project needs to be completed without any hindrance. He donated Rs 2 lakh to the Zunheboto two-lane construction monitoring committee to cover fuel expenses while inspecting and checking status of the road. (Page News Service)
