Sukhalu challenges Zbto dist VDBs to make progress in development

Dimapur, November 29: Advisor to School Education, K Tokugha Sukhalu graced the silver anniversary celebration of Zunheboto Block Village Development Board Association (ZBVDBA) on at Zunheboto town hall on Monday.


A press release informed that he challenged the VDBs of Zunheboto district to move forward and make progress in development with the assistance of the GBs, elders etc.
He also spoke on biodiversity and reminded the gathering about the fertility of Tizu River Valley to the east and the tributaries of Kiliki River and Cheboki River to the West of Zunheboto.
Sukhalu encouraged the farmers and the planters to cultivate fruit-bearing plants and cash crops. He also cited the example of the AC Market located at 4th Mile, Dimapur, which was an outlet of uncontaminated organic fruits and vegetable.
He encouraged the VDBs to utilise the funds sanctioned by the Government for the progress and development of their respective localities.
He also asserted the value of NSRLM and initiatives being taken to uplift the rural women through establishment of SHG.
He stressed on Pre-primary Anganwadi Avenues and requested the GBs to refrain from the practice of allowing proxy teachers in their schools, and reminded that all teachers are professionally trained by the Department of School Education.
He also cited the New Education Policy and cautioned that schools without student enrolment could be de-recognised.
After attending the function, Sukhalu visited the ongoing construction site at Government Higher Secondary School and expressed satisfaction at the pace of work.


He further interacted with the teachers and students of the school and promised an award of Rs 1 lakh to any student from the school that features in the Top 10 of HSSLC/HSLC exam.
