Dimapur, September 16: A newly established sub-center at Jalukie Zangdi under Jalukie Block was inaugurated by the Special Guest Dr. Denis Hangsing, Chief Medical Officer, Peren on September 16. The sub-center is a much needed medical facility in the area which shall be catering to Beisumpuikam village, Jalukiekam village, Lipenphai village, Mhaikam village, Jalukie Sangtam village and Jalukie Zangdi Village.
The program was chaired by Reiletso Chirhah, Chairman VHC. Invocation was said by Shepota Nusori, Local Pastor.
Delivering the welcome address, Bedusai Thulu-o, Village Council Chairman, Jalukie Zangdi village expressed gratitude to the medical department for their support and further acknowledged the village council along with the people of the locality shall extend cooperation maintain peaceful environment and assist the sub-centers in every possible way.
He also added that the Village council has started to sponsor the remuneration needs of the local Chowkidar for the sub center generously.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Denis Hangsing congratulated all the concern staff and the people involve for successfully setting up the Health Unit. He encouraged and challenged everyone to work hard and to support each other to achieve the target and to give the best of the service the public in general.
He also invited the public to utilize all the facility available in the sub center and to make the best of the VHND platform and also the Nagaland Health Project. He reminded the gathering that the government will provide the basic medical need for the people while on the other hand it is the duty of the concern communities to take ownership of the health unit as their own.
He particularly mentioned and thanked the Principal Director, Mission Director, NHM and Project Director, NHP Health and Family Welfare for their initiative in setting up the sub center.
The vote of thanks was pronounced by Theyeveyi Cheshu, Head GB and benediction by Veto Dozo, Pastor CRC.
After the inauguration program, Village health and Nutrition day cum Poshan Maah was observed at Jalukie Zangdi.
