Kohima, May 6: ADC, Kohima Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has informed that from May 7 to 9, stranded students and travellers in Kohima would be sent to their respective districts and homes and for that around 3000 persons has already registered to go to their own respective districts.
So far 51 buses, NST, various Department buses from Secretariat has reported till filing of the report which will ferry those registered persons to different districts in the state.
Tongpi also said arrangements has been made for those stranded persons from Assam and Manipur whose screening has been done today. Besides the buses reported permits has been issued to the private vehicle owners who has been stranded.
The facilitation cell has been opened at Kohima local ground where these people have to furnish their details and thermal screening to be done to get the fitness certificates.
Distressed and stranded people from Mon districts recorded the highest registered numbers. More than 3000 persons from Assam has also registered to go back to their homes.
Some buses with Dimapur passengers and one bus for Mao gate were sent today. (Page News Service)
