Stranded people from different districts journey back to home districts

Dimapur, May 8: The first batch of indigenous Nagas and students stranded in Zunheboto District due to COVID-19 lockdown started their journey back to their home district from today. Today, 6 buses to Dimapur carrying 96 people, one Bus to Mokokchung and Wokha carrying 8 each, one bus to Tuensang carrying 15, one bus to Tobu carrying 28 and another one bus to Mon travelling via Assam carrying 17, was sent off from Zunheboto local ground. All together 172 stranded persons were sent to five districts in a total of 10 buses.
In yet another significant move, Totilimi SHG project colony prepared lunch pack for travellers to Tobu (Mon) under the initiative of District task force and Sumi Kukami Hoho. Senior Pastor SBCZ, Rev Dr. S Yevito Sumi sent off the passengers with a prayer and good wishes.
Mokokchung:
Today, a total of 287 indigenous Nagas made their journey from Mokokchung to different parts of the state. From NST Station Mokokchung, two buses with 68 passengers left for Dimapur, 1 Bus with 20 passengers to Longleng, 3 Buses with 75 passengers to Tuensang, 3 Buses with 70 passengers to Kohima and 2 buses with 54 passengers from Changtongya and Tuli.
On the first day May 7, a total of 195 passengers made their journey to three districts, 3 Buses with 130 passengers left for Mon from Mangkolemba Sub-Division, 1 Bus with 30 passengers to Tuensang and 1 Bus with 35 passengers to Dimapur.
All the Buses were sanitized by MMC sanitation workers and all passengers were screened by Medical Staff before boarding the Buses. (Page News Service)
Wokha:
Under the initiative of the District Administration and District Task Force (DTF) for COVID-19 two (2) NST buses were arranged yesterday for transporting 37 stranded migrant workers bound for Assam were dropped till Dimapur.
Later in the day 76 students, elderly persons and government employees from Kohima reached Wokha in 3 buses and 72 persons from Dimapur were safety transported to Wokha.
On 8th May 2020, 21 persons were sent to Dimapur, and arrangement is being made to transport 13 more passengers bound for Tuensang, Mokokchung and Tobu today. The District administration is also arranging for transporting passengers to Dimapur and Mon on 9th May 2020. (Page News Service)
