Stop teachers attachment culture: ENSF

Dimapur, April 26: The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has strongly called upon all politicians and departments to immediately stop “teachers attachment culture” and revert back to their respective posting place in the interest of students’ careers.
In a release, ENSF said the call is being made considering the welfare and interest of the students pursuing their studies in Government institutions.
“While the federation is tirelessly working to do justice to the students; such attachment culture is victimizing the students and benefiting the privileged lot! This practice is not acceptable and tolerable to the federation,” it said.
Looking at the rampant attachment system going on presently, the federation said it is not impressed with the Government entertaining this detriment practice. Many schools, particularly from Eastern Nagaland are facing tremendous shortage of teaching staffs to which the federation have been pressing the Government and the concerned department to appoint adequate/enough teachers, it said.
Warning all teachers posted in Eastern Nagaland seeking political shelter without performing one’s assigned duty and drawing salary will invite the federation to initiate its own course of action, the ENSF advised that if the appointed teachers are not willing to teach they should resign on moral ground as there are many dedicated young Naga youths ready to serve in the given opportunity and contribute to the society.
