STF meet on MI held at Kohima


Dimapur, July 9: The State task force meeting for extended Mission Indradhanush under Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan was held Monday in the conference hall, Office of the Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Kohima.
While presenting power point on review of preparedness for extended MI-SIO(UIP) & SMO, WHO, Visasieü Kire said that the main objectives of Mission Indradhanush is to rapidly saturate the identified 115 aspirational districts and sustain thereafter through routine immunization. All children and pregnant women should receive all due vaccines with special focus on children up to 2 years of age. She said three rounds of Mission Indradhanush will be conducted in aspirational districts where the 1st round is scheduled from July 16. In Nagaland, Kiphire district has been identified as Aspirational District by Niti Aayog where the first round will start from July 16 and continue for 17 days. In this regard, 16 villages have been selected by MoHFW and training of medical officers, BPMs and FLWs were conducted. Head count in all villages were completed on July 6 last.
Uploading of target beneficiaries on portal is completed and official launching of the program by Deputy Commissioner is planned on July 16, she informed.
Mission Director, NHM, Kevichiisa Medikhru delivered the opening remarks while Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Himato Zhimomi gave the closing remarks. Allied departments also participated in the State task force meeting. (Page News Service)
