Statewide mass social work from Sept 29 to Oct 2


Dimapur, September 25: A mass social work would be conducted throughout the state from September 29 to October 2 during which all elected members would participate.
A circular from the Home Department stated that all the administrative HQs under the state would be provided funds to meet the pol/logistic requirement for the social work at the rate of Rs 1,50,000, Rs.75,000 and Rs.40,000 for all District HQs, ADC HQs and SDO (C), BM, EAC HQs respectively.
All departments contractors/NGOs and local bodies have been asked to actively participate and extend assistance with available machineries and man powers in respective locality.
Co-ordination meeting may be convened at District/sub-division/circle levels by the administrative officers and chalk out action plans for execution of the words in respective areas by mobilization of machineries and man powers available in the area.
Choked culverts/drains/rubbish accumulations have to be pre-identified to be attended as priority targets for clearance.
The social work would conclude on October 2 with final clearance of collected debris rubbish in commemoration of 150th Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Swatchh Bharat Day.
Every citizen has been urged to come forward and participate in the social work. (Page News Service)
