State Level Youth Festival begins


Dimapur, March 9: The event is not all about winning, but participation and meeting different people, witnessing various talents and being inspired, and thereafter setting goals, said Secretary, Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Anenla S. Longchari, IAS at the opening ceremony of the State Level Youth Festival for Youth and Adolescent Development at Indira

The Youth Festival started in 1995 to remember the contributions of Vivekananda, and since then the Ministry of Home Affairs & Sports, Government of India has been organizing the event, to bring the youths of the country together, Longchari said.
Winners of the district level are to represent the district at the state level, and the winners of state level to the national level, she added.
The event is being organized by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports.
