Dimapur, October 18: The Nagaland junior girl’s basketball team qualified for the final phase of the competition, as the third placed team, in the recently concluded 72nd Junior National Basketball Championship (NE Zone). Meghalaya and Assam junior girls were the first and second placed teams respectively.
In the junior boys section, Mizoram, Manipur and Meghalaya qualified for the final phase of the championship.
The 72nd Junior National Basketball Championship (NE Zone) was successfully hosted by Meghalaya Basketball Association under the aegis of Basketball Federation of India. The championship was held from October 14-17.
The junior girl’s team will represent Nagaland at the 72nd Junior National Championship to be held in Bengaluru from December 21-28, 2022.
