State cyber crime investigation manual released

Dimapur, September 22: The valedictory function of advance course on cyber crime investigation cum release of cyber crime investigation manual of Nagaland Police was held at Rhododendron Hall, Nagaland Police Officers’ Mess, Chumukedima on September 21.
Addressing the gathering, DGP Nagaland, T John Longkumer stated that in his one year service in the State he has seen many quality officers who are treasured resource persons for the department. He encouraged Nagaland police force to be the leading beacon as outstanding police force in all fields in the country.
The DGP, who also congratulated the trainees for successful completion of the training, was optimistic that the trainees while representing the cutting edge for Nagaland police force in the field of cyber crime investigation will produce positive results, not only in tackling crime but in the act of preventing such crime by creating awareness in the society. He also released the cyber crime investigation manual.
SP (Crime), Vishal, IPS, who was the course co-ordinator, in his brief report stated that the training was divided into two phases. The first phase was on cyber crime investigation awareness programme while cyber crime investigation module was taken up in the second phase. Altogether 46 police officers from different parts of the State were trained.
The programme was chaired by DIG (CID/HR&SJ), Imcharenla, IPS, while vote of thanks was proposed by IGP (CID), Zekotso Mero, IPS. Other highlights included introduction of cyber crime investigation manual by SP Wokha, Manoj Kumar, IPS and certificate distribution to trainees by the DGP.
