State COVID tally rises to 6429


Dimapur, October 3: Nagaland on Saturday reported 111 new COVID-19 cases, taking the State’s tally to 6429. But with 5207 recoveries and 17 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1150.
Of the 111 new cases, 63 were detected in Kohima and 48 in Dimapur.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1,102 active cases are asymptomatic, 44 active cases are mild and 4 active cases are moderate.
Further, out of 6,429 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 3059, Returnees – 1519, Traced Contacts – 1503, and Frontline Workers – 348.
A total of 52,001 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 51,025 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 28,685 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 28,606 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 1,907 samples have been tested.
