State COVID-19 tally rises to 5671


Dimapur, September 23: Nagaland on Wednesday reported 67 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total cases in the State to 5671.
But with 4509 recoveries and 16 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1119.
Of the 67 new cases, 58 were detected in Kohima, 5 in Dimapur and 2 each in Tuensang and Mon.
Nagaland also reported 16 recoveries from COVID-19 on Wednesday (15 from Kohima and one in Wokha). With the last COVID-19 patient recovering, Wokha District is now COVID free with zero positive case as on Wednesday.
According to official data, the number of deaths due to COVID-19, however, has now increased to 16 as on Wednesday with one death confirmed to have been caused by COVID-19.
