State COVID-19 tally jumps to 5451


Dimapur, September 20: Nagaland reported 59 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday taking the total cases in the State to 5451. But with 4228 recoveries and 10 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1184.
Of the 59 new cases, 45 were detected in Dimapur and 14 in Kohima.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1,156 active cases are asymptomatic, 26 active cases are mild and 2 active cases are moderate.
Further, out of the 5,451 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 2,550 cases, Returnees – 1,444, Traced Contacts – 1,132 and Frontline Workers – 325.
A total of 46,969 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 45,882 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 26,435 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 26,428 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test, 1,301 samples have been tested.
