State BJP to launch awareness campaign on NEP

Kohima, September 8: The BJP Nagaland is all set to kick start awareness campaign on National Education Policy (NEP), which was a poll promise of the party’s 2014 parliamentary election.
For this Vidya Bharati competition will be inaugurated countrywide on September 11. Later on September 24, there will be online quiz, registration and posting for the competition from September 25 to October 2. Announcement of winners will be on October 5.
Interacting with media at party central office here, BJP leaders said all works will be done through website www.mynep.in and the participants’ own social media handle, adding contents available and participation in 13 languages on the website. Three categories for competition Class-9 to 12, UG and PG and citizens. Each category has online and 5-5 competition.
The saffron party has also brought out pledge for schools, colleges and institutions: a bright opportunity for institutions to make themselves as NEP supportive schools and by taking the NEP pledge, institutions will commit to adopting NEP and ensure bharat centric education, holistic education, knowledge base society and quality education to their students. “Anyone can apply to become NEP ambassador through our website,” BJP leaders said.
Also the BJP will organize Sewa Saptah (Service week) from September 14 to 20 in celebration of 70th Birthday (September 17) of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. During the week the party will distribute artificial limbs and other equipments to 70 differently abled persons in every constituency and spectacles to 70 poor as per need.
There will be distribution of fruits in 70 hospitals and poor colonies in accordance with the guidelines of COVID-19. Youth Wing will organize at least one blood donation camp in every district with 70 donors. There will be tree saplings in every booth and to take the pledge for environment conservation.
The BJP will also organize a cleanliness drive in 70 villages of every district and pledge to get rid of single use plastic and thereby connecting people to the clarion call of the Prime Minister and cleanliness drive in 70 public places to be undertaken in each district headquarters. There will be 70 virtual conferences on the life and mission of Prime Minister.
On September 25 programme will be organized on the life and mission of Pt. Deendayal through webinars in all the districts.
While from September 25 to October 2 there will be campaign on Atama Nirbhar Bharat through various interactive programmes and webinars and encourage the use of khadi and local products. “Effective campaign upto the booth level will be organized by the Prime Minister to the common masses so that they are apprised and benefited from this scheme,” BJP leaders said.
All programmes will be collectively initiated by over 3.6 lakhs registered party members in the State. (Page News Service)
