State BJP resolves to give priority to all round development in state


Dimapur, March 24: Nagaland State Bharatiya Janata Party held its 8th State Executive meeting cum State Convention on March 23 at Mon Town Hall, where in the first session was addressed by National BJP General Secretary, Ram Madhav who is also the Political incharge for BJP North East States, Deputy Chief Minister & BLP leader, Y Patton and State BJP President TemjenImna Along.
While in the second session besides the BJP Nagaland legislators the (PDA) People’s Democratic Alliance consensus candidate for parliamentary election for 2019 and Member of Parliament, TokhehoYepthomi also addressed the meeting.
The BJP resolved to work whole heartedly for the successes of the PDA (People’s Democratic Alliance) consensus candidates, TokhehoYepthomi in the ensuing Parliamentary election 2019 and Sharingain Longkumer for 26 Aonglenden bye-election in order to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister NarendraModi in the NDA at the Centre and Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio in the State.
On Naga political talks, while appreciating the negotiating parties, the GOI and the NPGs for coming to the advance stage of conclusion, the Party reiterated its stand for early settlement taking all on board for acceptable and honourable solution. The party also urged upon the Naga leaders and intellectuals of the Bharatiya Janata Party not to remain just the facilitators alone, but to take proactive role in bringing a peaceful and permanent solution to the long overdue Naga political issue at the earliest.
The BJP resolved to give priority to all round development of the State and protection of people’s welfare, faith and culture.
It expressed its commitment towards its pre-poll partner NDPP and other post poll alliance parties (PDA) under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio who was bestowed by Prime Minister,. Narendra Modi in February 2018 during Tuensang Public rally.
The BJP Nagaland urged upon to strictly ensure that all schemes and developmental programmes are implemented and reaches all corners of the people by adapting NarendraModi’s ideology of becoming a ‘chowkidar’ to check on corruption and developmental activities.
Stating that Nagaland is part of Indian Union, the Party strongly condemned and denounced all acts of terrorism of foreign and domestic in consonant with rest of the nation. It also appealed to all the people to support Narendra Modi for ‘Peace and Development’.
Besides the BJP legislators, members from State Executive, Chairmen and OSD, Frontal Morchas and State Cells Office bearers, District Presidents and General Secretaries and State Office bearers were the attendees.
State BJP President TemjenImna Along declared in the meeting that Phogoboto Mandal under Zunheboto District as BJP Organisational District with immediate effect in order to strengthen the Party in the state. With this, the BJP Nagaland has now total 15 political districts. (Page News Service)
