State BJP observes Good Governance Day


Dimapur, December 30: The BJP Nagaland state held a preparatory meeting for national convention and Good Governance Day on December 29 at the state head office Kohima.
In the programme, Nagaland BJP president and Minister for Higher Education and Technical, Temjen Imna Along said Nagaland BJP is a national party with a regional outlook. He encouraged the party workers to leave aside the differences and work together for stronger prospect.
Imna also stressed on the Good Governance Day saying, “A person’s birthday is decided by God not man.” Thus India celebrates good governance day in honour of Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee whose birthday falls on December 25, he said.
Imna said Vajpayee was not only a politician but a great poet, orator and statesman who brought trajectory programme to Nagaland. The BJP president further encouraged the party workers to practice humility and accountability with given responsibilities.
Earlier in the programme, all District and Morcha presented their reports which were followed by discussion led by Ananta Narayan Mishra, organising secretary, on the forthcoming BJP national convention scheduled on January 11&12 at Delhi.
