State BJP condemns ‘malicious tweets’ against NDPP

Dimapur, September 25: The BJP Nagaland has vehemently condemned what it said is the “malicious tweets” posted by unscrupulous element(s) from the twitter handle @tuhinshuvraB targeting the NDPP with frivolous allegations.
“This is the second attempt by unknown miscreant(s) whose sole intention appears to be to try and sabotage the camaraderie enjoyed between the NDPP and the BJP coalition PDA Government in the State of Nagaland,” said a State BJP statement.
The BJP reminded that earlier on February 6, 2020, it had filed an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Nagaland Police at Kohima for defamatory and unfounded tweets against the NDPP by a similar twitter handle @tuhinshuvra6 which was found to have been subsequently deleted. “It appears that the same miscreant(s) have created the latest handle sometime in May 2020 with the intention to jeopardize the good relations between the NDPP and the BJP,” it claimed.
Stating that such acts are totally defamatory, illogical and rife with ulterior motives to foment misunderstanding in the PDA Government, the State BJP said it shall leave no stone unturned to ensure that such miscreant(s) are brought to justice.
The BJP Nagaland State Unit is in the process of filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell and we have full faith in the efficiency of the law enforcing agencies. We are hopeful that the truth of the matter would soon come to light in the public domain, it said.
Stating that it will never subscribe to such cheap tactics “which are unfit to be applied in politics,” the BJP appealed to the rank and file of the NDPP party headed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and NDPP president Chingwang Konyak and the general public not to be misled by such “unimaginable acts” by unknown person(s) for narrow political/personal gains.
