State BJP celebrates Modi’s birthday

Dimapur, September 17: BJP Nagaland celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 by engaging in ‘Sewa Saptaha’ activities all over Nagaland. 200 each of varied tree saplings were planted in 8 districts of Nagaland and 3 organizational districts.
A State BJP release informed that the tree saplings sourced from Forest Department were planted at various Government and private institutions like hospitals, Churches, departmental premises, educational institutions, playgrounds and roadsides all over the State.
Keeping in mind the ban on single use plastics, below 1 litre mineral water bottles and dozen other items available in the market that will come into force on September 18 in Nagaland, the party volunteers refrained from using and consumption of the listed items and opted for other alternatives, it informed.
BJP Sewa Saptaha volunteers in Kohima visited Naga Hospital Kohima and distributed assorted fruits to all patients admitted and staffs of the hospital authority. No plastic packaging was used for the purpose since one of the primary objectives of Sewa Saptaha is to discourage the use of plastic and disposable items causing environmental hazards, it said.
In Dimapur, BJP party workers visited orphanages in charity.
Dimapur Assembly Constituency A/C – 1 BJP Mandal observed week long- Sewa Saptah to commemorate the birth week of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by holding prayers for the good health of the Prime Minister and encouraging the Prime Minister to carry ahead with the development of the Nation in every dimensions.
Mass public services and social activities such as tree plantations, food and water distributions were held in many places of Dimapur as part of the program.
Meanwhile celebrating PM Narendra Modi’s birthday today the Dimapur A/C – 1,BJP Mandal provided water and food items to Dimapur Traffic Police personnel and homeless people in many areas of the town and also visited Dimapur Railway station where passengers braving the scorching heat of the day were offered water bottles.
Beggars assembled at the railway station were provided with food items.
Meanwhile Nagaland team Sewa Saptaha has thanked BJP Nagaland president Temjen Imna Along Longkumer (Minister for H&TE and Tribal Affairs) for his support and guidance; the PCCF for Development and Training, Dharmender Prakash Singh (IFS), CF Kenei Miachie-o (IFS) and all DFOs for their cooperation and assistance provided.
