Startup Nagaland Boot camp held at Longleng

Dimapur, September 15: The 3rd phase of the Startup Nagaland Boot Camp was organized here at Longleng by the Department of Industries & Commerce as part of the implementation of the Nagaland Startup Policy 2019.The event was attended by students from various colleges and entrepreneurs from Phek District.
The program was chaired by Angdok Phom, Inspector DIC Longleng. During the first session, the introduction of the Startup Nagaland Initiative and an ideation workshop was conducted by Joel Phucho – Nagaland Startup Team Member.
During the second session, students and entrepreneurs pitched their ideas in front of the Boot camp panel of judges, Ihoilung Chuilo, EAC Longleng and Nyeipa Phom, Functional Manager DIC Longleng. Accordingly Shingmei and Taulim won the 1st prize, P Shomei Phom and Shingjei Phom and team won the 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
In the closing remark, EAC Longleng, Ihoilung Chuilo urged the students and entrepreneurs to redefine their ideas and work towards more innovative ideas which can not only help in earning income but provide solutions for the general mass.
He appreciated the Ideas that were pitched and hoped that these ideas can one day be materialized.
He also thanked the Department for organizing such an event and hoped that more of such events takes place in the near future also. The boot camp program was concluded with a vote of thanks by Putin Phom, Inspector DIC Longleng.
